Our April 4 - 5, 2008 1800 lot auction was generally strong throughout with excellent prices realized in many areas. A weakening was, however, shown in the modern Canadian Error varieties as well as sections of worldwide postal history. THIS HAVING BEEN SAID, THE MARKET IS STILL QUITE BULLISH FOR GOOD STAMPS & COVERS.

In Canada the exceptional Pence, as well as the Steve Luciuk WW II Internment Camp collection were very well received & included many record realizations.
The BNA Provinces, especially the extensive Prince Edward Island coll as well as British Columbia Newfoundland, New Brunswick & Nova Scotia were quite strong , with many exceptional postal history items exceeding our estimates considerably..
The United States was well represented, especially the Twentieth Century Issues, with an over-abundance of high quality PSE & Philatelic Foundation Certificated & Graded stamps. Prices continued their upward trend & we mention Lot#1283, Scott #617 used that carries a Scott Cat Value of $2.50 it realized $316.25: MORE THAN 126 TIMES CATALOG VALUE.
